School Report Card
The Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI) has issued School Report Cards for all public schools in Wisconsin.  The School Report Card provides clarity on how well our schools help children learn and graduate ready for college and career.  Please click here for information on how Grafton schools performed and for an explanation of the report cards.

Changes Ahead, Be Informed!
Download the Ten Things Kennedy Parents Should Know... document. This document is filled with information that is very important to the success of our 2017-18 school year. 

Cold Weather Recess Requirements
As the temperatures drop, please be sure your students has appropriate outside gear. A coat/jack/sweatshirt is required for recess if the temperature is below 60 degrees. To play in the snow, boots and snowpants are required for K5-2nd grade; boots are required for 3rd-5th grade. Due to our recess restrictions this year, students will not have the option to stay out of the snow if they don't have on the proper gear. 

Students will be outside for recess every day unless there is inclement weather or if the temperature is at 0 degrees or below.

Student Dismissal
Students should be picked up at the end of the day on the grassy spot to the right side of the covered walkway. Families should keep the walkway clear for students and teachers who are exiting the building. 

Absences and Tardies
All absences and tardies must be phoned into our Attendance Line (262-376-5555) each morning. Please leave a message and include the following information: your name, your student's name, the reason for absence/tardy and the date of absence. If we do not receive a phone call or message by the start of school, we have to call you to gather the necessary information.

Thursday, Oct. 26th: Early Release @ 11:50 a.m., 5K-5th

Parent/Teacher Conferences
Tuesday, Oct. 10th, 4:00-7:00 p.m.
Thursday, Oct. 12th, 4:00-7:00 p.m.
Friday, Oct. 13th, 8:00-10:00 a.m.

Parents should log into their Skyward Family Access account and schedule a conference with their respective teacher. Go to Conferences and the select an available time.

Popcorn Friday + Spiritwear Day
Friday, October 20th

Bring in your quarters for a yummy bag of popcorn. Wear your Kennedy gear to show your school spirit!

Movie Day Fundraiser: The NeverEnding Story
Rivoli Theater, Cedarburg
Saturday, October 21st, 11:30 a.m.

Bring the whole family to see The NeverEnding Story. Tickets are just $10/person and it includes unlimited popcorn and soda! To reserve tickets online go to https://rebrand.ly/kesretromovie. Money collected from the ticket sales goes to benefit the initiatives of the Kennedy FSO parent group. 

Early Release Day, 5K-5th Grade
Thursday, October 26th, 11:50 a.m.

Students 5K-5th Grade will be dismissed at 11:50 a.m. Please click here to complete and submit the Early Release Survey to indicate where your child will go after school. Please be sure to complete this survey on or before Tuesday, October 24th so staff can best prepare for dismissal on that day.

Students will not eat lunch at school this day, however families will have the option to order a bag lunch from Food Service to be sent with the student. Please click here to complete and submit the lunch order formLunch orders are due by October 20th

Red Ribbon Week
Oct. 23rd-27th

This is a fun-filled week of learning how to make healthy and safe choices, and fun dress-up days. Look for more information to come soon!

Mission Statement: Kennedy FSO is made up of all the families, teachers and staff of John F. Kennedy Elementary School in Grafton, WI. The goal is to provide support to the teachers of the school and encourage parent and community involvement, creating the best learning atmosphere possible for the children of our community.

DreamBox Learning is an excellent research based program that the district has purchased for our students.
